Greetings From The Hudsons 2024

Like last year, we didn’t do any significant travel, and we welcomed the abundant rain which assures us of a lower risk of wildfires.

The big news is that our grandson, Zak, got married on March 5 this year!

His bride is Kienora Cooper, a young woman from Trinidad, tall, bright, and very pretty. The ceremony was in Sacramento.  You can see the wedding at: https://youtu.be/jHBa8fLeT7w

And now we are expecting our first great grandchild, Jase Ivan, in February!

Ellon, Kienora’s 11-year-old brother, visits us from time to time.  He and Zak have become football buddies.

Zak is working for a company that installs solar panels.  He drives a truck and is learning other aspects of the business with the cooperation and encouragement of his management.

Judy continues to bake for open houses at Luther Burbank and decorates Christmas wreaths for sale.  She plays bridge and Mah Jongg with friends frequently.

Francisco is still working as an aide for the TV show, The Voice, in Burbank, and is a producer of independent movies.  He has a significant other now, Amelia.  We have met Amelia and pronounce her charming.

Cassidy continues to inspect boilers, but he now does if for an insurance company that covers commercial and industrial establishments.  His dog, Nova, continues to impress with her manners.

Sofi sells vintage clothing at weekend fairs and works part time for a doggy day care center in the Bay Area.  She is living in San Leandro with her boyfriend, Tim.  She plans to take biology and other science courses at a local community college starting this spring, as training to become a veterinary anesthesiologist.  Sofi and Tim have a cat named Al Pacino.

Isabelle has completed her freshman year at the University of Oregon in Eugene.  She is now concluding a semester of study in Sienna, Italy, as part of a program of culinary and cultural studies. At the time of this writing (mid-December) she is in Budapest on a tour with some friends. Isabelle’s cat, Squish, misses her but consoles herself with tuna.

Sandra and Eric travel from time to time, now that they are retired.  Some of the travel involves camping.  Eric and his band, Purple Albatross, play gigs in the Bay area.

Suzy is working as a home health aide, and has undertaken some significant home improvement projects, one of which, rather impressively, involved a jackhammer.

Larry still edits photos and videos and disseminates funny cat videos to the family.  In June, Larry and his old motorcycle buddy Dave visited the Sonoma coast and Reno.  You can see the video at:  https://youtu.be/EWce_UuXb0Q

Everyone, stay safe and healthy.
